no you can not it will fry it. It has to be the same voltage. You can buy a new one for 7 bucks at any electronics store.

How to power a portable 12 volts amplifier?

I need to power some computer speakers from batteries. The power supply's output is 12 volts at 850 milliamps. The only way i can think to power this is with ten 1.2 volt rechargeable batteries, and those would only last about 2 hours. does anyone have

you just need to get a bigger battery
something like a tractor
or alarm system system, about 6 AH should last maybe 10 hours
you can buy those at some electronic stores

so a 60 amp battery?

The answer is 640 watt hours is the amount of power that you will use in 8 hours..

Given the usage is 80 watts, then multiply the watts times the number of hours.

The wattage is the product of the voltage times the amperage.
